The TURCK JRBS Series Fieldbus Junction Box is a line of passive and active DIN-rail-mount distribution nodes for PROFIBUS-PA, AS-interface, DeviceNet, and FOUNDATION Fieldbus protocols, consolidating a fieldbus trunk line into multiple field-device drop lines from a single IP20-rated enclosure. The core JRBS-40 variants are constructed with powder-coated aluminum housings that snap-fit directly onto standard DIN rails, in 4 to 12-channel configurations. Field wiring connection is via spring cage-clamp terminals, or M5 threaded bolt terminals (DC variants). Short-circuit protection per drop line/spur is adjustable to 30, 35, 45, or 60 mA via a rotary coding switch. The base JRBS-40 line without the SC/DC designator is a passive junction box without this protection. ATEX, and FM Ex-protection approvals are available for hazardous application environments.
