Signal isolation barriers used with sensors in hazardous-area or intrinsically safe installations, limiting energy passed into the hazardous zone. Used to allow standard sensors or instruments to operate safely in classified (explosive atmosphere) areas. Applied in process plants such as oil & gas and chemical facilities.
