The TURCK JBBS Series Fieldbus Junction Box is a line of passive and active machine-mount distribution nodes for PROFIBUS-PA, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, AS-Interface, and DeviceNet segments, consolidating a fieldbus trunk line into multiple field-device drop lines from a single IP67-rated enclosure. The core JBBS-48 variants are constructed with powder-coated die-cast aluminum, in 4- or 6-channel configurations, with connection via cable gland (T-suffix), M12 stainless steel flange (E-suffix), or 7/8in stainless steel flange (M-suffix). Short-circuit protection per drop line/spur and voltage monitoring are available. ATEX and Ex-protection tiers are available for hazardous application environments.

Additional features of the JBBS Series include an integrated, switch-activatable bus terminating resistor; selectable cable shielding (capacitive or direct connection to housing potential via switch); a pressure-compensation element to prevent internal condensation; an isolated support terminal for an optional protective conductor; and housing-potential grounding via an M5×1 bolt.
