Description

The TURCK B1N / B2N Series Inclinometer is a family of MEMS-based sensors that measure angular tilt relative to gravity, with single-axis (B1N) and / dual-axis (B2N) configurations.

The QR20 variants are housed in 71.4 × 62.5 × 20 mm plastic (Ultem) housing with IP68/IP69K rating. A MEMS accelerometer cell us utilized for angle measurement. Output configurations include IO-Link, CANopen, analog (voltage or current), or 2×PNP/NPN switching signals. A "spirit level" function indicates when the sensor is level via a flashing LED, simplifying installation without additional accessories. Static models (B1N/B2N) use the accelerometer cell alone; dynamic models (B1NF/B2NF) add a gyroscope sensor and fuse its output with the accelerometer signal via an onboard algorithm, suppressing vibration, as well as and shock-related errors. These units are ideal for use in fast control loops on moving machinery. The CANopen and analog versions additionally include protective circuitry for mobile 12 V/24 V electrical systems, and carry E1 type approval from the Federal Motor Transport Authority. Devices connect via M12×1 connectors and are parameterized through TURCK Automation Suite (TAS) or EasyTeach.

The Q20L60 variants feature compact 20×30×60 mm, IP68-rated polycarbonate housing. The dual-axis analog models cover ±10°, ±45°, ±60°, and ±85° angular ranges, with 4 to 20 mA, or 0.1 to 4.9 V (ratiometric at 5 VDC) outputs. Zero point is field-teachable via the VB2-SP4 adapter.

The Q42 variants are enclosed in 42×42.5×68 mm, PA12 housing, with CANopen interface available (M12 eurofast bus-in/bus-out connectors). Angular ranges include ±10°, ±45°, and ±60°. Baud rates of 10 kBit/s to 1 MBit/s supported. Guard-Q20L60 protective housings are available for FM Class 1, Div 2 environments.
