The TURCK BL20 System Series Fieldbus Gateway is part of an in-cabinet, modular I/O system, with flexible gateway configurations with a variety of fieldbus protocols. These units provide an interface between selected networks and BL20 Series I/O modules. Multiprotocol gateways interface to the higher level control system, with Economy variants optimized for connecting to open networks.Possible interfaces include Ethernet, EtherCAT, PROFIBUS DPV1, DeviceNet, CANopen and serial (RS485 or RS232 configurable). The CODESYS V3 programming software is available as a decentralized control solution, enabling the ability to integrate motor starters. Economy configurations can support up to 32 I/O slices, standard configurations can support up to 72.
