Description

The TURCK EZ-track Q21 Quadrature Profile Series Linear Position Transducer offers a 5 to 78 in measuring span with 0.001 in resolution and 12-pin M12 Eurofast connection. The watertight, IP67 design offers reliable operation, with a -20 to 70°C operating range. The direct A and B channel quadrature output directly interfaces with to an incremental encoder or the PLC input card to reduce cost and installation time. The output signals are proportional to the position of the magnet assembly along the active span of the probe, and output directly from the transducer to the controller, eliminating the need for converters or PLC interface modules.

The Q21 Quadrature Profile Series' burst input on the transducer triggers a data transfer of all incremental position data relative to the transducer’s zero position. This ensures absolute position updates are possible during system power restoration, or whenever re-zeroing the machine is required. The Q21 Series allows you to use an incremental output, while taking advantage of absolute sensing technology. The Q21 Quadrature Series can be used replace incremental rotary and linear encoders in certain applications, with the quadrature output suited to system tasks requiring 0.001 inch resolution and repeatability.
