Description

The TURCK DR Series Radar Distance Sensor is a robust solution for distance measurement, with a range of up to 15 m. They are designed to operate reliably in the harsh environments found in factories, as well as outdoor or mobile applications. The 122 to 123 GHz frequency range and IP67/69K rated enclosure are ideal for distance measurement in port logistics and other challenging outdoor conditions which typically rule out optical and ultrasonic sensors due to interference from dust, wind and/or light factors.

The DR Series radar sensor can be programmed using the TURCK Automation Suite (TAS) software along with a Turck IO-Link Master. The user interface for TAS offers simplified setup along with real-time signal curve display. When two units are mounted in direct proximity to each other, the Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) measuring principle of the DR Series eliminates mutual interference risk. The DR-M30-IOL variants feature IO-Link communication as well as analog and switching outputs (the analog output can be configured to act as a second switching output). For applications where the IO-Link is not required, the 18 to 33 VDC requirement drops as low as 10 V, making this model ideally suited for various mobile applications.
